TEXTURED FACES...

Visual ideas for textured faces:

These are some images I found mainly on Pinterest when I was researching different textures. The materials used in some of them are really interesting like what I'm assuming is clay on the second image looks so effective once dried hard, this has produced a thick wrinkled elephant type of skin. A lot of thick paints and powder either separate or mixed together have been used or poured on the face to produced a whole new layer of skin. I love Mario Gerth's image of the child, second up from the bottom. The white coloured powder and thicker texture used on the face looks so effective against his darker skin tone. The idea seems so simple but and looks effortless but creates such a good final image. I am a little disappointed that were not able to use colour on our tribal inspired design as I love including different colours on the face but I think using natural, nude tones will really test my capabilities and eye for accuracy.
